Xiangyun, Aroma and Baoyu bond together,
upsetting an eavesdropping Daiyu. She argues with Baoyu, but is momentarily
shocked by his insightfulness. Baoyu blurts out to Aroma an impassioned speech
intended for Daiyu. Golden has killed herself, and Lady Wang feels responsible.
