The girls give offerings to the flower
spirits; Daiyu is still unhappy, and Baochai overhears Crimson talking about
Yun. Crimson impresses Xifeng. Baoyu angers Tanchun; he notices Daiyu’s standoffishness and then her absence,
and goes to her flowers’ grave, where he hears her weeping.
