Baoyu is questioned after Jiang Yuhan goes
missing, infuriating Zheng. After Huan tells Zheng that Golden killed herself
after Baoyu raped her, Zheng beats Baoyu senseless, only stopping after Lady
Wang’s desperate remonstrances cause him to break down. Lady Wang wails to
think of her deceased first son, and Lady Jia rebukes Zheng.
