Qin Zhong is ill, exacerbated by his father dying suddenly after discovering
about Qin’s dalliances. Daiyu returns, and the household prepares for a rare
visitation from Yuanchun, including the construction of a new residence. Qin
Zhong dies with Baoyu at his side.
