become a nun. Baoyu meets Zhen Baoyu, and is sorely disappointed; he suffers a
major relapse. A monk arrives claiming to have Baoyu’s jade; Baoyu shows
immediate recovery, but the monk demands payment. A comment by Musk sends Baoyu
back into a slump.
